Meet
The Founder
Meskerem
Tadesse (“Meski”) is the Founder and President
of The Optimize
Group, an executive management consulting firm dedicated
to provide strategic and financial management consulting
services as well as executive coaching and training
to small and mid-businesses.
Meski
is a former Fortune 100 corporate executive with 20
years of diversified expertise in various aspects
of strategic and financial management; cash management
and banking relations; international finance and international
business. she has extensive experience in working
with the financial and investment banking community,
both in domestic and international financial transactions,
with direct responsibilities for numerous complex
and varied financial transactions, including a $250
million asset-based financing and restructuring of
$80 million pollution control bonds with five State
Governments She has a strong reputation for her integrity,
and skillful negotiating expertise as well as her
ability to effectively structure and execute creative
forms of financing when financial conditions are not
conducive.
Her
international experience includes working for the
US Agency for International Development focusing on
Project Development and Strategic Alliances.
Meski’s
involvement and contribution to business, community
and civic organizations, include serving as Advisory
Board Director for a major automotive manufacturing
supplier in Michigan and a software consulting company
in California; and as a Board Director for The Detroit
Science Center, Ethiopian-American Chamber of Commerce,
and Ethiopian-American Educational Fund and other
organizations.
Meski is an effective public speaker and trainer and
has been guest lecturer at Central Michigan University
Graduate School of Business, Michigan State University,
and the Chrysler Finance College. Her more recent
speaking engagements include being the Key Note Speaker
for the California State Debt & Investment Commission’s
Annual Conference on Finance and Investments and at
the Los Angeles Metropolitan Water District. She has
been written up on various publications, including
a full page profile in the business section of The
Detroit Free Press, Michigan leading newspaper and
on Chrysler International News.
Ms.
Tadesse holds a B. S. in General Management and MBA
in Finance & Marketing from the University of
Pittsburgh. She also holds certifications on Small
Business Consulting and Advanced Cash Management.

Diana
Mercer-Pryor recently retired from DaimlerChrysler
Corporation as the Director – Global Marketing
and Plant Procurement/Chrysler Group. She was responsible
for managing a global staff of over 40 employees,
located in the USA and Germany, and a budget of
$2.5 billion of non-production commodities and services
including advertising/media, merchandising, printing,
construction, all disposals, and fuel & energy.
Through cost reduction actions, her department has
contributed significantly to the turnaround efforts
of the Chrysler Group. Prior to this position, Ms.
Mercer-Pryor served as Director – NAO Non-Production
Procurement C/J/D, where she also had responsibility
for supplemental labor, Diversity Supplier Development,
and other miscellaneous staff functions.
Diana
joined DaimlerChrysler in 1972 as an Administrative
Trainee in the Service and Parts Accounting Department.
During her 34 years at DaimlerChrysler, she served
in several executive positions in the Finance area
before joining the Procurement & Supply organization
in 1989.
She
is a former board member of the Detroit Urban League,
University of Detroit Mercy President’s Cabinet
Executive Committee, Vice President of Diversity
Information Resources (formerly TRY US, Inc.), Board
Member for the DaimlerChrysler African American
Network. She is currently a member of the Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, and member of Word of Faith
Christian Center. Throughout her career, she has
been featured in several magazines and has received
numerous awards for her professional and community
involvement.
Ms.
Mercer-Pryor received her Bachelors of Business
Administration from the University of Michigan in
1972 and her MBA in Finance from the University
of Detroit Mercy in 1975.

"Mr.
Hailemichael is a highly seasoned corporate executive
with over 20 years of senior corporate executive experience
in both public and privately held companies. During
his 20+-year corporate management experience, he has
held increasingly responsible positions including
as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer,
as well as Chief Financial Officer for various companies,
with broadly diversified responsibilities, ranging
from finance/accounting & audit, sales & marketing,
human resources , technology to global business.
Mr.
Hailemichael’s extensive experience included
significant global business experience and has taken
companies public and on to global presence. Mr. Hailemichael
was responsible for opening corporate offices in France,
Japan, The Netherlands, Canada and the United Kingdom.
He also has extensive business experiences in Europe,
Latin America, South East Asia, Middle East and Africa.
In
the area of entrepreneurship, Mr. Hailemichael is
a Co Founder and Director of Volution, Inc., a San
Diego company from 1988 to 2003., and was a Co-Founder
of Advance Optical Corporation, a Virginia company.
Mr.
Hailemichael has served on various professional and
community organizations,. He serves as a Board Director
and Audit Committee member for Partnership With Industry,
and was Co-Founder of the CFO Roundtable and Day for
Change (San Diego non-profit organizations). . He
is a member of Corporate Directors; Forum and Financial
Executives International.
Mr.
Hailemichael holds a B.S. from Bowie State College,
Maryland, an M.A. from Catholic University of America,
Washington, D.C., and was an MBA candidate in Finance
from George Washington University.
